I got sculpture which was my first choice on the list of disciplines. I am really happy as I feel I am in the right area. I find it weird and wonderful and exciting all at once. I think sculpture is a dark area where people bring things to light. We make people aware of the everyday things they dont notice no matter how disgusting. We got handed are first brief thank god I was so bored last week, it is on the body. A huge subject with many possibilities to explore! exciting!!! I already did something on skin in the 2 week module and I liked the material I used. I will revisit this project and combine some materials from it, but change the concept. Ideas come to me really quickly and I have loads about the project. This time I am being more critical and thinking more about what I do and how can I change my work around. Micheal was telling me I need to be louder and bolder with my work and I accept this challenge. I am reaching out of my comfort zone and I am going to take over a space in the room. This space will be mine .....
