Fashion Designing - Shape
I worked from this abstract I recreated from the idea of a rotten apple.
This is my first shape.
and my second shape.
Room is your home!
This is my room since starting fashion! Absolute mess! Like myself I suppose! Fashion is a life changing story. It is something you sign up to and everything else goes on the back burner! Design is something I have in me, but doing the two weeks of fashion in Limerick is not good enough for me. I am a free person with too much to give and I feel like I do not belong in that atmosphere. I think backwards and work different to most people. The last two weeks I have felt it more than ever! I felt restricted in myself and work. This is not me! I push the boat out a bit more and I feel limited in an environment like this. I have something bigger and different to offer!
My neck piece
Images of my neck piece I made for my knit project in fashion. I love it because it is functionable and wearable for everyday use.

Material girl
Instead of using paper today we cut out are two favourite shapes out of material. Large shapes and small shapes and applied them to the stand. Before lunch I was getting frustrated and after lunch I came back and I got a few nice pictures that worked for me. I suppose it is like painting step back and look at the canvas or put the pins down when it is not working for you. It is just hard to get used to the manequin as your canvas. Fashion is a love and hate relationship, someday you get it and others you don' t. I know what my strong points are and I am aware I work better on the stand and in 3D than 2D. I love being on the stand and looking at the outcome! I treat is like the garment it is and not what it is going to be. I have to admit that I am backwards and think way ahead of most people and I was seeing the designs and illustrating them before looking at the basic shape first. I think I am getting it I just need to find my style. I just feel so different to everyone else in there even my crokies do they look like men trying to be women. But here is some of the images from my work at the manequin today. I love the contrast of the black and white, cheap, affordable and two dominant colours!
