Ranjani Shettar - A little bit more - Sculpture

I did some research on this artist Ranjani Shettar and found some of her sculptures to be beautiful, delicate and mind blowing. I could not believe the detail in some of her work, but it works well and is pleasing to the eye. I watched a video on her talking about her sculpture a little bit more, it was so interesting!

                                       
                                   Round light circular balls made from beeswax and pigment.

                  From far away it looks delicate like glass and hangs elegantly like stalagmites.

Here it appears to look like a spider web just like my piece on the window and you feel like a spider weaving your web.

 

The video on youtube of Ranjani Shettar speaking about her sculpture a little bit more. She explains it well and it is amazing how she calculated every piece of the sculpture to make it work. I was delighted to have found this artist as I love the materails she works with. This is exactly what I wanted to achieve with my sculpture a delicate, floating experience.
